Just an arrogant footballer.
Which is fine like, but it's tough to watch sometimes.
When he was younger I thought it more excusable as he was just testing the limits of what he could get away with and experimenting with positioning etc. However he has had enough games under his belt now, and goals scored when he’s made such a mistake, that he really should have learnt.

The England national team need a Dave Brailsford-style approach putting in place (I don’t mean the controversial stuff!). British Cucling has dominated consistently for years. There must be some learnings there for the FA.

It just irks me that every time England play a half classy opposition (like an Italy who didn’t qualify for the WC), they just look really, really flimsy.

Don’t watch much England these days but been impressed with Sterling today. He has looked really dangerous and has picked the right pass almost every time. Pep has really helped improve him I think. On the other hand he hasn’t done much for John Stones....

Said it the other night against Holland. This England team aint bad. No stars, no Golden Generation tripe. Just a decent bunch of young athletic footballers who dont get constipated putting an England shirt on.

Not world beaters, but a team. Thats a start.

Is this finally the year, when English fans can start to be excited for some success at the World cup? By success, I don't mean winning it but maybe a good result like quarters/semis.
