This Lottery is approved by the British/US/SA Gaming Board and also licensed by the
The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR). This lottery is the 3rd of its
kind, Congratulations.

Woo- & indeed hoo!

Congratulations, Dennis. I am also a winner, although all I get are free laptops. I've probably about 200 or so, although none of them have been delivered yet. I just need to "test" them.

Woo- & indeed hoo!

I love the stuff they put on these emails that are supposed to make them look genuine, but actually do the opposite.

" This lottery is the 3rd of its kind" - yeah, cos they are going to advertise that two lotteries got there first

"US$850(EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS)" - I'm actually a bit of a maths expert, so I can say with some confidence that 850 is not in fact eight hundred and fifty thousand.

"FIFA (fifa20101w8@msn.com)" right, cos FIFA are using an msn email address, but were too slow to get fifa2010@msn.com.

String him along Dennis.

I'm quite an experienced scam-baiter (see Welcome to the 419 Eater) it's great fun making the scammers jump through hoops in order to get their grubby hands on your bank details.

Some guy on that site actually managed to get some of them to re-record the dead parrot sketch from Monty Python.

YouTube - 419Eater Scams the Scammers With Parakeets

Some of the stuff Shivermetimbers does is genius. He deserves his own show.

I've already replied saying $ are no good to me but i'll be interested if they run a lottery with the prizes in £ - wonder what my chances are.

What? Surely not!??

(y)

It definatly isn't a scam.

I got that same email (but with slightly different numbers of course) last week.

So i sent them £500 for processing fees and am currently waiting for them to send me the tickets through, which they said would be here a couple of days before the first game kicks off.

And that they will have a Nigerian postmark for security reasons.

Lovely jubbly, can't wait (y)

Nigeria world leaders in scams. Seriously though, they have labs where they have loads of Nigerians who are not good enough to play football and equip them with a pen and paper - then they get to work, coming up with the most elaborate scams known to man. They are more innovative than Google.

When I was Insurance Claims Man , I went on countless seminars/courses , often Police initiated ( Industry specific ) and it would be about Nigerian Scams . No shat .
Mind you , anyone taken in by someone with a £100K cheque in Nigeria , who calls YOU , to help him cash it , ....
Well , the world is a real tough place , and that , but , fuks sake !!!!
Have a word , Guvnor !!!

Is it any different than people ringing in to vote on reality game shows?

Or to keep returning that readers digest prize draw thing?
