2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

I'm not saying he is leaving because of Moyes - though he might be, and a manager is always a factor. I am saying Moyes wouldn't be any kind of reason to stay whatsoever, the dour, depressing Dino.
Well you may be right. Who knows. I don't think there's any teams that play the football most fans of most clubs demand anymore. Not in the premier League anyway

I know the word is that he is content atm but something just doesn't sit right for me. A good World Cup and bids will come in imo.
As someone said, absolutely don’t blame him for sitting on his hands until Afcon and now the World Cup are done.

Other clubs want him already anyway, and he’s backing himself to have a great tournament and only increase his bargaining position.

Literally cannot lose. Fair play.

Hey, if he wants to have a blistering World Cup, get us 70 million that we use for a top winger, a top RB and some spare, Ill be happy.

Hes a very valuable player. But as long as we reinvest well, Im always open to fleecing some other club.

He hasn’t played anymore games than many of the players who had European and domestic cup runs for other teams, our general fitness is poor imo and players tire easily in our setup due to the amount of off ball running they do It's stuff that could easily be fixed but won't.
Exactly this. Our stalwarts go out of every Cup before it starts and never even kick a ball in Europe.
If any of them are knackered then sonething is horribly wrong.
Dreadful excuse.

Yeah I do find this line a bit mad. I’ve not worked it out properly but at a glance I reckon someone like Declan rice has played about 15 games worth of minutes more than Ndiaye. Of course it’s fine to say he tired or whatever but making out like nobody should ever be asked to play as much as he - or our any of our other players - has is a bit wild.

Beto I'm sure you could recover most of the fee, and the club acquired him under duress.

Both Barry and Dibling have far more runway before you can consider them poor investments.
Can't remember how long Dibling contract was but there's a year of it gone already. If its a four year deal, as seems to be the norm the club will begin to address a new contract in December.

It's very odd how gassed some of our players looked at the end of the season, Ndiaye and KDH in particular. I know it's harder work not having the ball than having it but to play 50-70% of the minutes of the players in Europe or with multiple deep cup runs and to look more exhausted than them (I'm thinking of the Palace game in particular) is difficult to explain.
