2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Under Moyes, Ndiaye is being asked to track back constantly, create chances and score. He's not capable or to be more precise shouldn't be asked to constantly track back. His energy is best spent creating and scoring. Recently, by the time he's got into a position to score he's missed because he's run out of steam and weak finishes is a sign of that. He's contracted until 2028, whether he will sign a new deal next year may well depend on how Moyes sets up the team. By the way Moyes sets up the team we are not seeing the best out of him and as a result suffer with results.

I've already said as much in the last couple of weeks, but going to leave this in a few threads to demonstrate the extent to which our best players are all absolutely knackered.

The revisionism around particularly Ndiaye but also KDH and Garner has been driving me mad, even more so when its being done to defend Moyes and play down our chances of being able to play better football under a different manager.

This is clear as day, it's on Moyes. He's refused to rotate all season and in the run in it's cost us. Never thought it was a coincidence that all of our best players miraculously had extreme downturns in form right around the same time, and this shows why that's happened.
