Have they moved the start of the tournament? Always thought it didn't start till into January but could be wrong. If it is the case it's rediclous clubs being without players playing in AFCON during the busy December period

Next one starts a bit earlier mate Sunday Dec 21st - Jan 18th.

Presumably the fixture the week before will be the players last for club.

That's rediclous isn't it? I'm just having a guess but wouldn't surprise me if it was moved to start and finish earlier to facilitate the clubs in Europe with the new European competition formats and extra games

There was something a few years back about moving it to the summer, FIFA were involved and the African Federation got the hump and then decided to keep it where it was, prob a two fingers to fifa and European establishment.
