So he’ll miss the next few matches - all ‘winnable’ and the ones we needed to target so April doesn’t bite us… but potentially be back for April when we’d probably struggle, anyway. Perfection…

Broja, McNeil, DCL, Mangala, Ndiaye… all I can think is, “who’s next?”. Sure as heck won’t be anyone we can more easily do without.

I just hope we will be in a place when he is available to come back where we don't need to rush him. Before April we have a few chances to win some games and if we do we should have enough to be safe and ease him back in.

Medial crucial ligament is a nasty one to injure, but it's nowhere near as serious as ACL

Also they're saying damage, not a tear, which is a good sign

I tore my MCL and I heard a pop. If he heard a pop then he would have told the physios and they would have said you need to get off, though he may not have heard it above the nose and with the adrenaline/focus/flow state he would have most likely been in

I was back to some normality in 4 weeks, exercise in 6, and I didnt have access to the kind of treatment NDiaye has. I wasn't playing premier league football though

I was skiing down a french alpine side though with a brace on

Recovery times for medial collateral ligament (MCL) injuries

• Grade 1 (Mild Sprain): Typically heals within 1 to 3 weeks.

• Grade 2 (Moderate Sprain): Generally requires 4 to 6 weeks for recovery.

• Grade 3 (Severe Sprain or Complete Tear): May take 6 weeks or more to heal, with some cases requiring up to 12 weeks.

The fact he wasn’t stretched off, I can’t see a grade 3. Let’s hope it is just a 1
