Did think that when watching. He's not a winger but if he's given license to drift inside it could work and give him more room to work in. Also allows more space for Mykolenko to get round the side as limited as he is with the ball. McNeil out there is just too one dimensional. Worry is what would be expected in terms of tracking back.
He wasn’t great in the first half and doesn’t look strong enough to be able to play that role in the premier league. He looked much better on the left with more space available for him. He won’t track back so that will be a problem but from last nights viewing, looked much better on the wing than playing off Beto. To be fair though,
James Garner was terrible first half so getting the ball to him was a bit hard. Once he’s up to speed with his team mates, adds a bit of strength, he might do well there.
