Lets make no bones about this, very underwhelming signing, Ndiaye at the age of 24 should have made a mark somewhere by now if he was going to make it at the top level.

I`m certainly not getting excited by Ndiaye for over £15m when so close to PSR, jibbed the PL when Sheff Utd came up and was very very poor in a poor French league, 3 goals in 30 for Marseille and 21 in 77 Championship games doesn`t make me giddy like some others on here.

I fully back Everton getting the deals done early and understand the Tim and Harrison signings, but Ndiaye I can`t see working, we played better with Doucs in a midfield 3 and breaking forward, this guy is not a 10, he is a second striker and will be ineffective defensively..
Abdoulaye Doucoure breaks 80% of our attacks down with his inability to play football

Having a player who doesn’t have the touch of pissed donkey will help us move up the pitch

Some moves just don’t work out, and some players are more suited to certain leagues than others. 21 in 77 for Sheffield United is a decent return for the role he played in their team. His assists stats are also decent. You can always get a good idea of players from reading comments from fans of his previous club and Sheffield United fans in the majority loved him. All we can do is wait and see what he does for us, then we can judge on what we see.

So he’s apparently on Merseyside doing medical YET there’s been no flight tracker, no pics in the Titanic, no Tofeenut.. what even is this place anymore?! This boy will surprise an awful lot of doubters, grafter and a crafter, been a long time since we had those attributes in a player 👍👌

wasnt the likes of baines, cahill, pienaar, arteta etc around that age when they joined us?

most of our best signings in the prem era have been the cheaper buys on younger untested players, or younger players who's moves hadnt worked out for them ( pienaar at dortmund, arteta at real soc etc )

he is levels above our current midfield if he can hold onto the ball for a few seconds and not lose it.

Im getting Steven Naismith vibes from this lad! Can play across all the forward positions. Always liked Naismith was a very good player for us for a spell. Hopefully N’diaye can do the same
That would be truly disappointing. I liked Naismith but I’d aim well higher
