If you were Everton manager right now, what would you do next?

I'd go 4-1-3-2

Pickford
Kenny - Keane - Holgate - Baines
Gana
Davies - Rooney - Sigurdsson
Sandro - Mirallas

Bench is Stek, Cuco, Jags, Schneiderlin, Klaassen, Lookman, DCL.

Easy to switch between this, a 4-3-3 and a diamond midfield as the in-game situations demand. Tell Kenny and Baines to defend first and foremost - there are plenty of players in front of them who are capable ball-carriers so just give them the ball rather than trying to move forward and create from the fullback positions. The removal of Williams AND Jags from the starting lineup allows the back four to play a higher line. We don't need two defensive midfielders, especially when one of them (Schneiderlin) doesn't currently bother tracking runners. Sandro and Mirallas give us pace up front, which should help to force opponents to play deeper back lines - this in turn should allow Davies, Rooney and Sigurdsson more space and fewer opposing players in close proximity to them. Davies and Sigurdsson can drop back either side of Gana to help when needed.

Pick the same lineup for Sunderland, Bournemouth, Limassol and Burnley. Yes it's four games in eleven days, but we really should be looking to have two of them (Sunderland and Limassol) done and dusted at half-time, and using our substitutes to rest key players. And after the Burnley fixture there's a two-week break. one thing that has definitely nOT helped us recently is the constant chopping and changing of personnel.

Probably look forward to all the winnable game I've got coming up. Jesus, this thread.

The same people who are starting these threads will be the one starting a "is this our year for the league cup" thread after we beat Sunderland.

Get a grip. We've lost to Chelsea Spurs and united. That could easily happen, especially with all our new player and the fact that we've lost Lukaku.

Things will get better. Just be patient.

First of all I would close down The Park End.
Then I would sack Unsworth, just so people didnt link him to my job.
I would then make Besic captain and replace the Dixie statue with a Besic 1.
Then I would win the League.
Sorted.

It isn't about been patient,
We've seen koemans team set up, tactics, no pace, no width and apart from yesterday,
No passion.
He's never going to win trophies,
He's more out of his depth than Mike walker was, for those who can remember :red:

I'd bide my time and wait.forbade barca call some insecure lids on here are terrified of.

I love this
I would do this.
Or I would offer to work as your assistant

Fixed.

But in seriousness, I think this set of personnel is probably the way to go for the next couple weeks. Playing a higher line with the back 4 is an urgent necessity in my mind, and the rest just stems from that really.

I agree

I know most of the time it's easy for fans to just disagree with the manager and think we know better, but in THIS case, I just don't understand why Kenny is not playing and why it's not set up like this. Assume we are going to lose a few ANYWAY, why not get Holgate, Keane and Kenny working together. When Coleman is back Kenny can play weekdays
