If we don't get into the top 4 what are your predictions for Everton football club

.....what a daft thread. As if finishing in the top 4 is the be all. Its all about expectations and unfortunately folk are expecting more than we are capable of delivering. Whilst clubs in the mix with us can bring in £20m players in Jan, we will have to make do. Whatever we achieve is a plus and the key to maintaining the status quo is simple - the manager. Top 4 is unrealistic so get in the real world.

the whole point of the thread is to see what people think would happen should we not get into the top 4 this season as it has been speculated that we would lose moyes and felli so I was just looking for examples of peoples thoughts

yeah, of course, if you would have told me then we'd be here i would have laughed. especially with the quality of football and our team being so much improved. just think we have the 6th best squad in the league and based on the competition, don't really rate it as that much of an achievement. i expected us to get top 6 start of the season, anything more would be a bonus

True, the achievement is more in the assembling of the squad than the success it's produced, so far.

I dont see your point, All 3 teams have dropped points against teams they should beat,We are 3 points behind 4th and I dont see why we are any worse off than Spurs and Arsenal who everyone thinks are a shoe in for 4th

really dont want europa league **** competition and does damage to a small squad would be gutted if we miss out on top 4 I just cant see us doing it between our bad defending this season, jelavic firing blanks, and constant niggles to the likes of gibbo and mirallas I think we will miss out.

whilst that is true we seem to draw more times,

us and spurs could both draw to QPR, but the foollowing 3 fixtures if spurs win the next 2 and lose 1 and we win 1 draw 2 they still get more points thats why that run of 6 odd draws whatever it was will prove to be our downfall

Obviously they too have dropped points against the crapper teams. That's why we are in with a shout.

But games like today show me why we won't get in. And to be honest can you imagine us in the Champions League?!

eh lads meltdown on here so we drew with swansea so what thats 4 points off them this season, there will be plenty of teams we take at least 4 points of this season. Have some faith ffs and this isnt me being blinkered or deluded we are genuinely capable of mounting a top 4 challenge the football at times today was the best I have seen in a very long time. Chill lads get a can and we will be there or there abouts come the end of the season.

We've been extremely unlucky with some of our draws though. I'm normally the last person to bring out the 'ifs' and 'buts' but the two main ones are Newcastle (where if the officials had done there job we would have scored 4 goals and won comfortably, yes we should've seen the game out anyway but the main blame still lies with the ref/liner), and Fulham away (doesn't even need explaining). I seriously think we were dealt some horrendous cards in some of these games first half of the season, and these two games especially have cost us 4 points that we are entitled to.

I also think not loosing does make a difference in terms of pyschology too.
