We don't have those players. The team should be setup to win games with what we have now....no use playing the match imagining "oh if we had zidane in midfield and pele up front we would have scored"...
 

need a good striker, but whats happend to chebe?

jelavic obvs isnt scoring and looking lost, that chance im sure anichebe would of blasted that
straight away, can hold the ball up what hes not doing an will take a man on, yes kone may be able to
do some of that but hes not had long enough to jel for me so why not get the lad on?

cant wait till gibbo's back think weel improve alot with him instead of ozzy . fumin

Again this. It's great having five midfielders tapping it about 35-40 yards away from goal, but all the opposition do is let us and laugh while they pack two men on the striker and wait for the inevitable mistake when someone tries to break through from midfield to attack and the Hollywood pass is intercepted.

I think we need to find the right balance, In the main a short passing game is good but there are times when I'd like to see us go a bit more direct.

Especially in the final stages of games when we don't have any urgency to get the ball forward

We aren't standing 5 yards from each other. Barkley has been introduced into the team and is a young player with lots of potential. He makes driving runs. We need more of that. Delefeou is capable of that too. Last year we lost at Norwich and this year we outplayed them and nearly won. WBA we hit the post and crossbar. Today we kept a rampant Cardiff team last week quiet the whole game. Fellaini/Osman are playing slightly different roles. We are missing Gibson. I was not for the Martinez appointment but he's growing on me. When we get the ball look how far apart Distin and Jagielka are. They don't pass it to each other from 5 yards. Baines is hugging the touchlines and has an advanced position even away from home now. Coleman the same apart from today. I am gaining faith in Martinez. We get a pen today and score it we'd probably win the game comfortably and grow in confidence. Martinez had inherited a ****ty strikeforce. Kone can still come good. But I think he needs a partner or the ball played over the top more.

If were looking at Anichebe as our 'Saviour' then were doomed.
 
it puzzles me why we didn't assault their penalty box at the end.stick fellaini in the box and lump it in in the last 10. not sure why we kept getting to the edge of their box and not shooting.still we aren't at panic stations as we are playing will.when kone is fit he will get goals. jelavic is done

Kone wont come good....this I am certain of and if Martinez inherited poor forwards then he should have sold them and brought in different players instead he adds Kone.

Barkley is Barkley, its good hes playing....however Jagielka and Distin being a few further yards away is one thing....look at the passing in general....tap - tap - tap....get close to goal.....whoops !!!

I just find it pointless and pathetic to be honest....people complained about Rodwell, well he'd be the best player in this midfield for what were actually doing.
