Bit lost on the valuting here its twice on the same thread.

Not really sure what was wrong with the thead in the first place, all true.

It's okay Zatara, you were wrong. It's okay to be wrong. I didn't want Martinez and thought James McCarthy and Kone were the start of a Wigan transplant that would plunge us down the table. I didn't air my thoughts on a forum but I was fairly vocal to my friends about it. As it turned out, we have a club record Premier League points haul, still in the hunt for fourth place, and McCarthy could very well be our player of the season. I literally could not have missed the mark more emphatically and that's okay.

Dont think I was wrong, those first 3 games werent a sign of things to come!

Zat. Those three games were a sign of things to come.
The system hasn't changed and the performances were good,even if the results were not what we hoped for.

The football evolved to involve the full backs and midfielders taking responsibility and moving forward. Those three games didn't have that.

And Zatara clearly said "at this rate" in his OP. Clearly, that "rate" changed dramatically and we transitioned a lot quicker than was feared at that stage.

So the OP wasn't wrong as such in the analysis of the first few games, it was just premature in relating that to the longer term.

You basically went off on one starting with the dismissive opening sentence and continued to criticise what the new setup was all about, including putting the boot in to choices of signings and how theyd fared.

This is after....threeee games! Patience notable by its absence. Vaultworthy it sure is, if youre into that thing.

Youre defending yourself as if you have given a simple reasoned appraisal of the first three games. It sure as hell doesnt read like that Zlatana!
