I thought it was a decent deal mate, if he's got us Champions League then 25% is peanuts compared to the 75% we get to keep. FA Cup and League Cup have additional add ons but only a couple of million per cup, which is again reasonable.

It's been widely reported as £25m + £3m add ons. The most significant add-on being Champions League qualification. I assume that covers each season Lukaku is with us. The set fee is paid in instalments which is usual practice. We did something similar with Rooney - 2 instalments of £10m, £1m annually for three years after that and add-ons based on Premiership, FA Cup and Champions League success. We've now received the full £27m fee and would still get 25% of any profit United make should they sell him. Sadly any chance of getting a substantial bonus probably disappeared when he didn't move last summer.

Exactly my thoughts mate, if we have to take a hit and pay Chelsea a few million why not eh? They've effectively done us a favour by taking £28m off us and future tv/cup revenue, we'll be laughing all the way to the bank when we make the Europa quarters though, mugs.
