I think serious glances would be made to Big Dunc and Graeme Jones who is very much a manager in the making. Very sought after.

Steve McLaren too.

Long term it would be nostalgic if Dunc came in and took the reins, but he's got to get a fair bit more experience under his belt IMHO. We are a big club, pushing for European football every year; we should be attracting applications from pretty high-calibre candidates and Dunc isn't in that category yet.

Some possibilities would be as follows....

I considered him a valid option last year and he's done well in the prem so far this year:
