It was laughable at the time when some tried to claim he was our Kante. The class gulf between them is large. I hope that a future manager can not just get the best out of him but help him improve the parts of his game which prevent him being more just an average squad player. Maybe his excellent strike at Huddersfield may help to convince himself that he can score more goals. That would be an improvement on his fairly recent interview when he said he did not regard himself as a goal scorer.

Who, apart from Allardyce obviously, do you like at the club? You seem pretty negative about all of the folk at the club that are well liked by the majority on here and yet will defend Allardyce to the hilt. It's an interesting profile, almost as interesting as the year you have chosen to celebrate in your username.

Lets not forget he tries shots like that every game and 90% of the time misses badly.
Well we'll just have to keep him behind after training and practise his shooting, won't we?

When he can hit the target seven times out of ten he can get changed and go home.

He's paid enough.

One above average performance and the plaudits roll back in for this guy. He’s even more culpable than some of the others for this car crash of a season as he actually has talent. Him and Schneiderlin should be one of the top partnerships in the league but instead they’re an absolute shambles and have been one of the worst. When he puts in more than a handful of good games in a season then maybe he might deserve even half of the plaudits he gets.

Never underestimate the power of finally knocking one in. This guy has a ton of upside. If his head is right. He can be a solid player.

It’s is not my intention to be confrontational; I simply love talking football and am willing to acknowledge that I am not all knowing. So specifically, what aspects of his performance are you unsatisfied with? I’d genuinely like to know what measurable evaluation is being used to arrive at the conclusion that he is anything less than our top performer in the squad.
