Thought Morgan would come in and be our box to box with Gana sitting but it looks to be the other way around. He'll score a fair few this year if he continues making those surging runs to the edge/into the box.

If you watch the replay of his goal, when Klaassen wins the ball and plays it to Rooney on the edge of the box, Gana isn't even in the picture on the high angle .. he must have been a good 30 yards away at that point, but managed to get into the box in about 2 seconds.

Honestly if he develops finishing ability he immediately becomes one of the best midfielders in the world. The two things which he doesn't yet have is finishing instincts and vision to pick out a through ball .. his vision across the pitch and behind him is excellent, but when looking forwards he doesn't yet play incisive through balls (not that it's his role to do that anyway).

Honestly as a non-Everton fan (I'm a Leeds supporter living in Australia), my endless love for this man is turning Everton into my favourite PL team. I mean, when I'm waking up at 4.45am on a Friday morning to watch them in a Europa League qualifier on YouTube, there's obviously something going on lollol

I thought he was the best player on the pitch last night, tackled everything that moved, supported the attack and has now started spraying long passes out to the wings. Incredible player..

His first touch to set himself for his goal yesterday was really really good as Wayne played it a touch behind him. He was pretty much the perfect player yesterday.

Football forums are populated with knowledged, insightful 'pundits'...none more so than GOT. That there was near unanimous celebration on here, and hearty congratulating of Walsh's savvy when we signed Idrissa, comes as no surprise to anyone...

This is how a lot of good players lose form. Best to stick what he's good at; its worth my than trying to be a complete player. esp when Scneids and Rooney are drifting around.
