I thought we had reached an agreement with PSG for him agars ago. The problem was supposed to be between Gana and PSG about money he wanted them to pay him. I’ll be glad to have him back but not if we’ve had to pay that money for PSG cos they refuse to

I don't really see now why PSG would relent on this just because deadline day rolls around. It's not like they need the money, or have to replace him. They don't give a damn whether he goes to us or not, and nor should they. But it can't come at the risk of missing out entirely by not getting someone else.

Chalk this one off and move on to the next one.

It's always been a staring contest over Gueye's buyout. We thought we were playing plenty already, and that the buyout was their problem.

Everyone knew they were likely to relent in the absence of other interest, but they had the ability to spite us by refusing to release him for our early fixtures. The lesson here is: never deal with PSG if it's avoidable. They probably don't much care what we think, since they aren't likely to raid us again anytime soon. If they did care, they would have been gracious about it. It's not like they paid top dollar in the first place.

So far as psg go, there'll be moves last minute, they wont want him on the sidelines not registered in squad to play and paying for the privilege.
we cry about the club not playing hardball, then cry when they do. being held to ransom, not being held to ransom. paying to much, not splashing the cash.
I can see a glut of transfers happening final day, said it over a week ago, some sides and managers will get desperate and try for anything not nailed down, imagine quarter to closing time down the local roxy on a Friday night. There'll be some maniac moves done, huge fee's and last second frees. the psychotics in the press are salivating already. angst and paranoia overdrive. we'll be fine.

Theyve just tried putting extra clauses in the deal with sunderland at the last second as well. Snide bullyboy tactics
