I hope he is signed and we play him in a midfield 3 with Onana and Iwobi. That would help us get hold of the ball more and dominate the middle of the pitch against most other teams. Hoping his arrival sees us move to 4-3-3.

Whether it’s him or someone else, we need a player of this profile if Frank is going to continue with 523. The midfield two need to be exceptionally combative. They’ll constantly be outnumbered so we need to be able to compete. Think him and Onana could do that quite well. Concern then is creativity/chance creation needs to come from the wingbacks and the two supporting forwards…they don’t look like it’s there.

I think we will switch to 433 when he arrives...

The idea that Lampard couldnt play 433 is kinda funny.

I agree, the back 3 seems to be coming from KT, but you can be sure that Lampard isnt being forced against his will.
