The summary, partly reading between the lines, is that Gueye wanted a severance payment from PSG since he would be taking a pay cut to come to Everton, and they didn't want to pay. Casemiro is a genuinely WC player, leaving the European & Spanish Champions & will probably end up transforming United's midfield. Gueye is nowhere near his level & won't make the same level of impact.

All relative.... In the games we need him, he'll impact us, as much as the new over the hill poster boy from mancky. Plus, experience of Everton and pl, big advantage.

Casemiro is a genuinely WC player, leaving the European & Spanish Champions & will probably end up transforming United's midfield. Gueye is nowhere near his level & won't make the same level of impact.

There's also a difference in price tag and wages. We're paying about one-fifth the wages (on a much shorter contract) and one-seventh the fee. Clubs can pick up older players like Gueye - Thiago Silva is still a rock for Chelsea at the back at age 37 - but they have to do it the right way.
