I'm going with the second one. Weren't we 4-1 up when he came in? And even if it was only 3-1 we were cruising more or less. Plus not really a game he can impact given the ball never travels through the midfield at a height of less than 20 feet when Burnley have it. It's hard to intercept a hoof from the keeper.

The last 2 games he played before the injury he certainly wasn't the best but he was possibly carrying that injury and it's no coincidence to me that our form has dropped since he's been out. He does all the dirty work that goes unnoticed. Ok he doesn't score many but he's the water carrier, he gets his foot in, breaks up play. He may not be the purists choice but he's been our most consistent player for most of the season. Every team needs a Gana.

Really? Burnley couldn't do anything but hoof it when he came on. He was all over the place. Covering for Digne on one side, supporting Coleman on the other.

I dunno I just noticed him giving the ball away and making mistakes. I thought ‘he doesnt want to be there’ but they were in Burnley so maybe he had a point!

Think it’s more to do with his fans saying he would have made a difference at city and v spurs. His run to the edge of the box in the first half summed him up. Did well to win the ball then didn’t have a clue what to do next,

He’s one of the 4 or 5 players that need upgrading in this team.

He's a specialist DM he's not there to create chances and score goals. One of the better performers today but yeah, don't get excited when he's in a shooting position because more often than not he won't score.

He wasn’t very specialist v Watford when he completely lets Doucoure run of the back of him in our box as he ball watches.
I don’t think he’s a very good defensive midfielder at all . If that’s purely what we are after, let’s buy wanyama, doesn’t get about the pitch like Gana and is just as bad on the ball, but is loads better as a shield fir the 2 centre backs.

I think Silva and Brands wants someone who can do everything to a high level, that will obviously cost big money, that’s the challenge to Brands.
