Also looks to be a mouse. Whoever sits in front of our defence next season needs to be loud, aggressive and respected by teammates. Feared by teammates would be even better.

This doesn’t need to be some random Belgian or Portuguese starlot. A rock hard experienced athlete that can kick a ball more than 10 yards will be sufficient improvement.

Oh, and needs taking off free kicks, even though no-one knew he was on them.

I think he's really good for the team when he's doing anything but shooting. Has one of those dodgy yobo passes in him per game aswell. But ultimately you can't underrate the value of good defensive play in midfield, really think him and Onana bring a lot there.

Everyone groans when he skies one over from long range but I remember Gareth Farelly taking wayward potshots like Gana is towards the end of the 97/98 season, then on the last day one flew in.

I completely forgot he even took that free kick against Newcastle. I couldn't actually think of a worse player in the team to take it. I remember in the world cup he was on set plays for Senegal. There must be a database error somewhere in all these stats coaching staff use that shows that he can shoot/pass

Actually think he has had a shocker of a season for us but last night was like the old Gana. Won the ball back and give simple passes when in possession. Think it has helped having Garner in there with him who can be the creative player and pick out the passes.
