I think pre-80s and excluding 'young' people is harsh. I'd definitely include Soundgarden or Pearl Jam into the classic rock mix 30(ish) years or so on from their 90s heydays.

Modern stuff gets enough exposure.

Pearl Jam .... that Eddie Vedder has a voice an a half.
