The language filter for the well-known reasons is mainly for the forum, not articles on the homepage.
That said, we would prefer that bad/poor language is not used.
In this instance, I think it's fair to say that the author has become fed up with negativity levels from beyond the Evertonian fanbase, I'm sure he'll correct me if there are/other more salient reasons that prompted him to put his quill to papyrus.
Objectively we’ve got plenty to be optimistic about as you’ve highlighted. It’s easy to lose sight of the positives when you’re on such an emotional rollercoaster.
