The only issue I have with Rodallega is that he is similar to a lot of the strikers we already have, patchy periods of good form and long periods of nothing. I would welcome his signing in a Beckford, give the lad a chance way.

At a decent price I think he could be worth a punt, were a better side than Wigan so he may have the ability to step up

Agreed, he could be very good for us, I just think we are starting to need relative certainties rather than punts.

He's worth about £10million. He's Wigan's top goalscorer, they bought him for about £6million and he's got a few years left on his contract. He's very important to them too.

Just because he's a Wigan player doesnt mean he isnt any good or worth that amount. He's a very good striker who is an all rounder...a bit like Saha.
