8th place and Watford and Leicester have both got difficult games tomorrow night so we have a chance of retaining it and only being 2 points from 7th going into the Wolves game at home so great opportunity now if they can take it.

Nah lad it's tough for a team in as bad a rut as us to grind out an away win against anyone. They deserve credit for that at least.

But obvs it's just not that same winning feeling when we're out of the cup and in purgatory in the league.

If we're enitely honest, the performance wasn't the best by any stretch of the imagination, however let's try to focus on the positives from this evening.

We've won - away from home to boot - which hopefully will break the cycle we've been in, while showing some much needed grit and determination.

Always celebrate a win but still not good enough performance against the worst team in the league.

We simply needed a win to pick up the club from the floor. And it was a win away from home. We did have ten men as well for a decent portion of the game and we avoided the curse of the new manager bounce. That’s enough for me tonight. Obviously needs to be better but obvious comment is obvious.
