With Everton still not signing experienced cover for Tim Howard i remain uncertain as to who is the most capable of covering for Howard. As much as i feel both John Ruddy and Iain Turner are capable keepers, i cant help thinking back to Turner's performance at home to Man United the season before last, a game we should have won. Who is the better of the two?

Very hard to answer as the times I've seen both keepers in action they've looked the part but made really silly errors.

I think they are both as wet behind the ears as each other but both equally capable. I'm going to abstain from voting :)

Ruddys the better keeper for me. Turner cant handle the ball, as we saw against united 2 years ago.

if either play for a large part of the season with the current squad we have we will be in a relegation scrap.

Neither is good enough and I doubt they ever will. Ruddy is physically able (big lad, but quite agile) but that's about it. He should really be sent to some lower league team that has a good gk trainer to get some match practice and he might just have an outside chance. Turner looks too much like Wright on a bad day, really hasn't got anything special about him.

ruddy let in 4 against cambridge. and that first in the first 20 seconds was especially poor.

neither should play in the premier league this season.

I give the nod to Turner as he has played more ,but doubt there is much to choose between them,I do think Turner is paying for the disappointment we all felt after the United game.To be fair to him it was a big game in every sense of the word and his nerves let him down,I would give him another chance in the right environment to see if he has got it or not(y)

I honestly thought Stubbs let Turner down in that UTD game, he never gave him the cover he should have, so that wasnt entirely his fault IMO.

But tbh, i honestly dnt rate either of them and would hate to see either of them picked this season, so i aint gonna vote, my vote goes for A.Other.

Get in Joe Lewis, Peterborough can't hold out for that much surely!... They've just been promoted to League One after all.

U21's now but got that senior call-up in the summer, so I'm assuming he's got something to offer.

I'd go for Turner, he proved himself as a decent keeper while at Sheffield Wednesday, although I am terrified of Tim Howard breaking his leg or something of the sort with the transfer window far away. Decent cover, but only from the bench or in small games.

Nice to see a signing from Moyes, let's hope for the domino effect.
