He was clearly not up to premier league standard, to inconsistent.

If howard does go, then Butland is the way forward.
It will mean few bloopers along the way as he improves, but no more than Howard produces each year.

Thres a few loanees available to put some positive pressure on Tim.......Shay Given, Paul Robinson, Kieran Westwood, Craig Gordon etc....that's Tims problem I reckon - zero pressure ( oh, and Chris Woods).

Made routine saves, watched the first goal go over his head, gives me the ****s every time a ball comes into the box. Krul outplayed him by a country mile today.

Off memory, had one hit at the near post which he had to dive for because he was out of position, came out and blocked the one on one when their winger should have rolled it across to an unmarked Cisse (how he doesn't do that I don't know, should have been their equaliser). Had a long range one hit straight at him which he collected. Pretty routine.

He was pretty lucky with their finishing but for their goal. That said, he had a good game. The only thing is what constitutes of a good day for Howard these days?
