this hopefully. would moyes dare to drop him if this bust-up has happened? certain players yes, but i couldn't see that happening with a more experienced player. Not that i want players dropped after every little strop - he's already too harsh of a manager

No way would he walk out of training.

Don't like the guy as a player. But having met him and knowing people that know him on a more personal level, all (including myself) say that he is the model professional and an all round nice guy.

Yet you come on and say Coleman should never be allowed start a match for the club again after he makes a mistake, come on, anyone that thinks Howard was right to punch that ball against City with no one next nor near him needs their head checking.

He's attempting to shut out threats by undermining the reason for bringing other GKs in. What Howard wants is a Mucha or Wessels or Hahnemann type emergency stand-in - someone he cant realistically lose his place to.

No one wants him forced out. It's just not healthy that he's the only feasible GK to turn to at the club.

Don't agree with either of those. At all. Think you're reading way too deep into a comment that was shaped for the press.

Along with Zac Macmath, GK from Chicago Fire Sean Johnson will also be training with Everton, Chris Woods and Tim Howard.

So basically ever since Chris Woods became GK coach for the US National Team we've been grooming young US goalkeepers - makes sense.

Sean Johnson is liable to some howlers (see US Olympic qualifying run), but he has promise - he's been invited to several US national team camps.

Again, don't think this has anything to do with Everton interest, but if there's a gem along the way, why not take a look?

I think there is a lack of quality keepers around at the moment and whilst Howard isnt on top of his game it would take mega bucks to get a ready made better keeper.

For starters, If you look at the money Utd have spent on keepers since Howard left and not one of them has been any better. United fans I know would have Howard as there No 1 now if they could.

Even Joe Hart, the alleged greatest English keeper in decades is error prone, he looked terrified on Saturday and has probably conceded more soft goals this season than Howard has in his Everton career.

Maybe its the pressure of the premier league, a lot of keepers have come with glowing reputations from abroad and not settled or looked crap. In fact since the premiership began there have only been a few real stand out keepers for me in the likes of Schmicheal, Cech, Reina (sadly!), Friedel, Martyn, Seaman maybe. I cant think of many others who you would say is a top top keeper
