Sad news.

A man who actually believed in the club motto and made it a reality for a time.

Gave so many of us so many great, great times as Evertonians.

RIP a true Evertonian.

Sad day for Everton and football. I think it says a lot that in this day and age of everyone slating everyone on Twitter, that no one has a bad word to say about our hero. Ian Snodin being in absolute bits on the radio seems to typify this.

Hopefully we can win today in his memory.

Apparently he was a good humoured person, so let's not get too morbid, and also remember moments like this....

I watched Howard both as a player and manager and are absolutely shocked and saddened by the news.

I live down south now but it is a matter of the general respect football fans had for Howard that a lot of my friends that I watch my local non league side with have been sending messages of sympathy and huge respect they had for him irrespective of what team they support.
In fact they have nominated Howard's photo to be honourary supporter of the week on our what's app message group.

A true legend. The way which fans of all clubs are giving their tributes shows the respect and love he earned.

The club will miss him more than anyone.
