I say that cause he said and did all the right things when he got appointed. Brought Kendal and Dunc back into the club, spun us tales of where he wanted us to be and backed it up somewhat with results. Was the medias darling he was everywhere that first season on radio/tv had most of us eating out of his hand. Getting consistent results has been his major deficiency and spouting his inane positivity only heightened the poor results. If he got results no one would care what he was saying.

To me, he will be remembered for talking more tosh than any manager I've ever heard, he will be remembered for taking a solid Everton team and completely destroying it, at least Walker had an average team to begin with. Only positives will be Lukaku and Deulofeu.

I think that once the heat dies down, he will be viewed as a decent bloke who ultimately found the job too big for him.
I'm genuinely sad it didn't work out for him here. If he'd had a mere shred of defensive nous he could have had a lot of success I think, as he was strong in other areas.
