How to prevent Europe from ruining your season

...not sure Adam. That article doesn't appear to mention Soton.

Just checked they are 18 points behind with 18 left for them to play for. We have a much better goal difference as well so it would be some turn around if they finished above us.

Last time RK got into the Europa with Southampton he played the youth team , and got out of it pronto rules have changed now it is a route to the Champions League!
A larger squad hopefully using the better under 23 players a chance!

RM made the fatal mistake of all the eggs in one basket.
Then we got hammered and sucked in the league.

The squad is not good enough for top 6, yet alone a European venture added into the mix.
Need a lot of players to be happy in all competitions

Still nice though! ;)

Obviously we'll need to improve the squad so a good chance to see how serious the new regime really is.And it'll be good to play pre-season games that have meaning.

We finished 17th the season before we finished 4th. But I don't think Europa has as big an impact as some do. It's just an easy excuse when you don't perform as well as the previous season.

Well you might be correct, if Man. Unt. win the Europa league it will have worked out for them, if they don't and also finish out of the top four then I 'd say the Europa League has been an handicap to them, for the simple reason without the
matches played in Europe they would have had amuvh better chance of finishing in the top four and they most certainly
could have done without the injuries and many extra games that the Europa League brought.

By the way good luck to the many fans who enjoy travelling to these European games , it's just for me, The Eutopa League
not the Champions League.
