How the season will pan out - just a bit of fun

Another challenge for European football 7th-4th depending on whether we add to the squad with quality.

Updated to end of Dec (see earlier reply to this thread)
38 points
lose to Man U
draw with arsenal
beat Fulham, Swansea, sunderland and Southampton.

So: played 19 for 38 points which puts us in the top 4

We have the best full backs in the country. A highly rated goalkeeper, Fellaini, Mirallas and Gibson in midfield who are sublime, Phil Jagielka who is one of the best Centre Halves in the league. Strong youth coming through and nothing up front.

Imagine the difference with a world class striker. We are great at holding teams to draws but we need to score more goals and look more threatening. We are just as every bit as good as the top 4. It might not sound attractive but we are an excellent team, once we have ironed out a few things that have seen us look lacklustre in the past we will be flying. Champions league in 2 seasons. Europa League next season.

Look, read my thread in the other forum. I know we will be successful under Martinez, it feels right and the insights I'm getting are telling me this is the biggest and best appointment to be made. Martinez will be better than Moyes and I'm not lying when I say the glory days will be here once again. I see trophies and on a regular basis also. I have an insight into this and it is clear as day.

Call me crazy, but one day when we all cross over you will know I was right all along.

We will lose our first 2 games then win the League at a canter with 4 or 5 games to spare

Oh sorry you said this season, I was looking at 84-85

The first part may or may not be right, but as for the rest......

Better wait and see who comes in and who goes before contributing...

But the bit about "out of favour Gerrard" coming off the bench with 20 mins to go and inspiring Liverpool with a double strike to come from 3-0 down and nearly snatch a draw feels right.

Wise move TDan, why put your head on the chopping block when all the factors are unknown. This time next year this thread will get bumped by some one bored to death and up to mischief (y)

I'll keep my powder dry till the end of August and when the transfer window closes
