The problem united have come accross it seems is that although they would have hoped van Gaal would have been a success for them, he is also future proofing the club. signing the likes of Depay and Martial, as Louis has even said himself, is for future managers to get the best out of. The plan backfires slightly when Gaal can't get out the groups like but then even i thought they would do a bit better under him.

Yes but for me this only serves to highlight the frustration at our lack of progress.
