I think we'll pick up a couple of £2m players and another loan on deadline day.

I hope we sign two big players and a loan.

Big transfers now are less and less likely as whoever we go for, that club will want to replace them.

Ok. there's a bit of logic to the idea of us making 'phantom bids', if you consider offering 17 million for someone when the selling club has stated categorically that they won't accept less than 20.
but what about Albert Riera? Español had accepted our bid of 12 million apparently. Did the negotiating team ring Bill and tell him they had a small problem and he'd better ring Prick Parry and beg him to make an improved offer because ours had been accepted.

Deep down, I feel that there is a big deal still in the making. Moutinho??!! I think once Davie came to the realization of just what Mout is going to cost, he has started filling the roster with serviceable, low-cost players to stockpile the cash. The load is about to be shot. There just has to be a big one in the making.

Wishful thinking? Crash & burn may be on the horizon but I will hold onto the optimism for now.

I agree my friend, i honestly feel we had some money kicking around and Davey was trying to spend bits and bobs on getting in quality, but Sporting played hardball, which i can hardly blame them. So then he had to fill the squad and then splash it all hard on a Evertonico.

I honestly dont believe that Mcfadden and AJ were sold to balance books, i think they were sold to free up transfer funds, i think Moyes looked at it as we could get 3-4 players for the 16m we got for these, sadly thats not been the case, cos at the end of the day Faddy and AJ wernet 1st teamers, they were back up.

Im not dissing either of them, i liked them both although My mate who sits next to me hated Faddy so i was glad i didnt have to listen to him screaming abuse everytime he played.

So im gonna say 20m-25m, optimistic i know, but surely we have that much?
