What's up with Merseyside football?

The absolute 'kin state of that table.

I hope there's some explanation from those ball bags at the club. Boasting all summer about new dawns and expanded ambition and coining it in with record season ticket sales on the strength of it...then this pisstake.

Moshiri hasn't felt the need to communicate in anything other than a couple of sound bites so far. Well he needs to clear his throat and finally address a lot of disillusioned supporters of this club who'll be feeling like crap now.

Can't disagree with you mate. Even if he speaks, what fluff can he possibly say?
Someone needs to get fired as an indication of anger.
Moshiri hasn't had a good start has he?

Average net spend since 2003. 3.5 million

And we wonder why Spurs have shot past us and why clubs like Stoke and West Ham are now more attractive than us

I'm dumbfounded by this window. A new feller takes over with a big statement about "giving all he has" and he ends up saving £3m in the window.

Whatever stock was built up since he arrived has been flushed down the bog.

He's worse than back at square one. He has a lot of reputation rebuild in front of him.

Waterfront stadium or bust for me. And I consider myself a positive, patient man.

I will be VERY wary of any statement in the next week or so about a stadium. The club would be fools to put one out in the wake of a disastrous transfer window. There'd be an over riding suspicion it was another arse covering exercise.

Whilst I agree Dave, part of me thinks that we are in a stronger position now even with a negative spend.

£2 mil for Walsh
£7 mil for Koeman
£10 mil for Martinez

But yeah...definitely a weird window. I think we did try to spend ~£30 mil, but just couldn't get deals over the line.

After two seasons in 11th after a net spend of £61.2 mil...I reckon the board wanted to see ROI.

Stones out and his fee financing what came in looks a missed opportunity to me. Apart from Williams I don't think it was well spent. I remain unconvinced on Bolasie, and Gueye is still a player with it all to prove...above all though we had these positions covered and never used the Stones cash to take care of one or maybe two primary target positions.

So even in recycling terms it's debateable whether progress was made.

But this lot have a brass 'kin neck failing to spend their own money in this window. Unforgivable for me.

Lol how this club loves mug supporters like you ! You will give this board another 25 years , n we will be in non league football , and you will still be making the same excuses for them !
Look Morishi has come from Arsenal he sees the income from the emirates stadium compared to goodison - go on a ground tour and see the comparisons on match day on corporate income from the top 6 teams its astronomical the GOL was never for seating - I feel ht 100 million is for the stadia as yesterday proved it !
