Not remotest arsed.

Q. Will our squad be improved? (So far so good).

End of imo.

Pretty sure our net spend last January was pretty decent. Until you remember who we actually signed.

I am We'res the ambition for players fans and the club on a whole as such? This project.... Or koeman is just after a fat wedge lol

Two in at 25 million plus each
One more in at 15 to 20 million

One out for ~ 20 million

I've been keeping my ears close to the ground mate

... and they're now covered in soil.

I suppose if they're willing to throw £25M at a player like Bolasie then there's a possibility you could be right. I doubt it though. Not at this stage. Notwithstanding the usual 'get real' situation for selling clubs in the final few days, I cant see that level of spending. A targeted record transfer of £30M plus a loan deal for a GK and maybe £10m-£15M spent on a couple to strengthen the squad, tops. Then subtract a couple of £10M-£15M sales.

Uncharted territory with the new owner, so we can only speculate. But that ^^^ would be old regime Everton.

Squad is better than it was at the end of last season. No game-changers in my opinion, but definitely more depth. I'm normally irritated when people mention depth; you always want a superb starting 11 and some decent players to step in. Sadly we were lacking those 'decent' players.

Can't see much more being spent this window. Most targets seem to have escaped us, anyone else just seems like 2nd or 3rd choice.

Old regime took 20 years to get nowhere near a new ground.

Signs are, granted, signs, that the new one have moved reasonably close to securing what we all crave.

Net spend? Arsed.

There is a direct correlation between money spent on players, and league position. Let's not pretend otherwise.

Words are words at this stage. And to be fair to that old regime (and they really shouldn't get a fair hearing) they did get an iconic stadium scheme a very long way down the line to fruition until elements of the board pulled the plug on it.

If we could guarantee a stadium on the waterfront in the next 2/3 years I dont think anyone would be as bothered about transfer budgets hitting the heights (as long as we didn't sell the family silver at the same time...which we've done again this summer, btw). We dont have those guarantees though.
