See what?

Has yer arse gone (Again?)

Because personally I don't give a flying one about your oneupmanship or popularity contests. I know what I'd rather have. Doesn't make me any less Evertonian.
You said Everton's position in the PL trumps a cup win. But you wont put it to a popular vote....I wonder why?

I'd be looking at a team like this for Dagenham. It, for me, is the least priority now the FA Cup. As much as Dagenham will up their game, can you really see them beating that side? I can't.

Barkley, Deulofeu, Lukaku, Stones and Barry all get valuable resting time, and Cleverley gets time to recuperate.

Howard
Hibbert (is he alive?) Jagielka Mori Galloway
Gibson Osman
Lennon Naismith Mirallas
Kone

I'm just hopeful that Martinez doesn't flog this new rejuvenated tactic into the ground that every team becomes aware of it. We've got a huge chance of something big, by getting to a cup final here, even if it is against that shower!

Would you not keep Joel in nets?

I would.

Given the strong rumours, probably don't want to cup tie Naismith

we have a good enough squad to cope, barring injuries.

cup has to be the focus now with just 2 games max, think we've blown doing anything of note in the league because of recent results. we can still get europe, but top 4 is out of the question, so why would we prioritise a couple of games we're likely to lose?

I guess I'm in the minority. I would take three or four league wins in a row in exchange for the capital one cup. Priority is top 4 above all, otherwise we increase risk of losing key players.

I just don't get the excitement of some here over the capital one cup -and I'm a 35 yr long everton supporter.
seeing thousands of blues walking down Wembley way and hopefully watching our team lift a trophy for the first time in 21 years does not excite you but finishing 4th does?

You are in the wrong game mate.

I seriously don't think that'll be a factor, Norwich... fighting relegation? Nah, they'll be looking to go out I think. Also, see Jelavic at home to QPR as a prime example of why it may happen. Gutted for him, they got to the final.

With Lukaku experiencing a niggle last night, and Barkley also having to leave the field for an injury, how much of a priority would you place on the 2nd leg against City? Would you rest players in the league to ensure we give the 2nd leg our best shot or is the league still the priority?

I'd rest some Saturday if they need it

For those concerned about the financial side of league position, doesn't winning the LC put us in EL?

someone will say you make no money from that, so there's no point being in it. Only 4 teams per season get into the CL, and its the same ones most years. Its wholly unrealistic (and makes football unfulfilling) if a team like us are disappointed with what is likely our only realistic achievement.
