Paid £47.50 or me and the boy for wigan 1/4 final which is fine but as i travel from Kent its the travel that kills you financially . Travel cost is main reason i have to pick and choose rather then ticket costs .

Oh god, that must have been dreadful mate - hopefully next time it's a bit more palatable!
Our folks are season ticket holders who come from long out of town, costs them a fortune

Anymore than £45 is a joke. Especially for away fans that have to pay for travel as it is. Realistic price should be about £25 for an adult and £10 for under 16

A comparison:

My Local MLS team has sections for $20 single game tickets (13£). Season tickets start at $17 or £11 per game) $306 this is for 18 home games + one or two special exhibitions.

The highest priced seats not considered VIP (like suites or actually on the pitch level) is $75 or £49.

We have a tourney similar to the Capital One Cup that starts at $10 per ticket.

Granted MLS is not the EPL in popularity or finances, but here, the games are the 3rd most attended (per avg) sporting events. NFL then MLB are 1 and 2.

You would think the buying power of the consumer wouldve kept prices in line with working class.

Think our prices are good but maybe they should reduce the price of Any obstructed views as a £1 off is ludicris,The main problem is traveling food and parking prices. For me and me dad it cost £90 for a game that includes ticket food parking and petrol money . Too do that every weekend is pretty expensive

The match sure isn't for skint people anymore. Hard to justify spending 40+ quid when you have a family to feed on fookall. As long as clubs are willing to pay stupid wages the fans will have to cover the cost. The grounds would be full every week if it was £20 max, sadly that will never happen.

It already is too much for a lot of people. It all depends how much you've got and how much you're willing to pay for the atmosphere when you could watch a stream for nothing.

You know what the biggest problem is? Unity. It's unity that is needed so something can be done to at least freeze ticket prices. Look at Turkey and now look at Brazil, they protest, in numbers. In Britain we have never been like this. For a start we have let the government shower all over us and get away with far too much. How much longer are we going to let football? If we want something to be done then we all need to act now and that is every supporter from every club. The answer isn't to dessert games, it's to make protests either before or after or if anyone has any better ideas go ahead. We are the people and as a mass movement we can make something happen.

Think you're being a trifle stupid tbh.

I paid £593 for a season ticket this season and that's before an away or cup game. It works out about £25 a ticket I think. I don't know if clubs have increased away match ticket prices for next season then you have to take into consideration the travel to the grounds, cities. If we go to any London games its likely to cost more than a match because my girlfriend will probably want to go for a meal or stay over (at my expense) on the other hand, I don't drink, smoke or take drugs so going the match is what I do.
what do you do for the other 6days of the week?

I had a season ticket for years, paid on the credit card so I didn't really think about the cost per game. Now I only go a couple of times a year as it's hard to justify the expense of going more frequently. I guess the club strike a balance, they charge as much as they can without going above the threshold where significant numbers will stop having to go due to the expense. Do they really care if average attendance is 33k rather than 35k? The bulk of our income doesn't come from matchday attendances, so can't see any premier league wide rethink on ticket prices. As long as the sky dough keeps rolling in they won't need to rely on the matchday attendances. I would love a cap on ticket prices and Goodison full but it's not gong to happen
