How many more transfers do you want?

People have their own opinions whether you like it or not thats the idea of forums.
No wonder some people have stopped posting recently when you come out with [Poor language removed] like that

Dude- that is just my opinion I take nothing away from what you think or say I like debate but I am also optimistic that we will have a good season and there will be at least two more new faces by the end of the season.

Dont put that crap that people have stopped posting because of me- because that is probably the most controversial thing Ive written on here.

Iam saying some people have stopped posting because of responses like you have just responded not cos of you.
That is not debate how you have responded thats putting people down who have a different opinion to you.

Ok Im sorry if it came across if I was putting people down because they have a difference of opinion, that is not how I operate- I like debate and I like to talk things through.

I just feel pretty positive about the season ahead and it always feels like the doom and gloom merchants are finding someway to put a dampner on it.

What do I think we will end up like:

Beattie to Sheffiled United
Baines to us.
Vogel to us.

Mr A.N. Oher striker to us. With that I would be happy.

No problem you just sometimes want to vent your feelings and sometimes on this forum people don,t like it if you knock certain club figures.
I have always got on with you so we will have to agree to disagree about kenwright.
On a lighter note i can now see bt staying with us not getting smith and a couple of loanee squad players which does make me angry cos imo kenwright has [Poor language removed] us this summer.

Mick is spot on though, saying things like "kenwright keeping his money and letting the team suffer"

that angers me because that man has turned this club, OUR club from yearly relgation dogs of war [Poor language removed] strugglers into a genuine improving year on year uefa cup/european challenging team in just 5 years.

So sorry if mick had a go, but having a go at kenwright is way out of order when you consider what he has done for this club.

I wouldnt disagree that Kenwright hasnt helped this club, my grumble is that unless EFC kick on from here then they could be taking a step back rather than keep going foward.

I understand funds are needed for the new stadium etc but this is putting a wafer thin squad in jepordy and could have serious consequences this season. Would it be classed as a failure ifthey dont finish with a European place?

Hibbo my question to you is- do we sign players for the sake of signing players? We do need new recruits but we need the right players and not just some stop gap. I believe that Moyes is working furiously bringing in what he deems the right players.

If we cant sign these players permanently expect a few loanees. I for one am so glad we did not buy Koumas at 5.3m or Kamara at 6m or Chopra at 5.5m! Those players at those prices are an absolute joke.

Jags at 4m is great business, if we fet Baines we are getting a quality young left back who could be a stalwart for years to come. I think we will sign two more on top of that whether it be loan or permanent.

I personally have faith in our manager and Im looking forward to what could be a great season.

I am with micknick on this as most know. I would rather have fewer committed players than more benchwarmers and failed players riding on their wages. I agree that we need a larger squad more than ever to continue to improve, but only at the right price. The transfer market and their prices are just plain ridiculous at the moment and I feel sorry for the position moyes and the board are in. If they paid through the noses for players and they don't succeed all the BOO boys would be calling for the board/managers head saying things like "fancy wasting all that money on [Poor language removed] players that could have been saved for the right player at the right price" as has been said in the past.
I am looking forward to the new season with whatever Moyes thinks is right for us, Moyes, Kenwright and Wyness have dragged us out of the mire and if was not for them improving our hope and aspirations then we would be talking about "how to avoid relegation" as opposed to "how are we going to challenge". This is a good thing and long may it continue to travel to the sky with our dreams till the silverware arrives.

Im not having a go at Moyes, sometime he baffles me with his tactics etc but id never want him out.

Im glad the club havent paid over the odds for average players, jags is a quality adition at the price they signed him for, but to get cheaper players DM will have to shop abroad and that is always touch and go.

I dont believe everything i read in the papers but I'd be curious to know exactly how many players the club have lost out on this summer due to financial retstrictions.
