I find that our fans our very fickle, but why shouldn't they be? We're a great club, and expectations should be maintained, just sadly a bit of realism is needed, when complaining, we aren't going to win every game, and we showed for 45 minutes a full strength Fulham side who was boss.
Unfortunately, we went out, but we had our chances to win, but valuable game time was given to Stones, Robles, Heitinga, Gibson, Deloufeu and Oviedo, who, Gibson Aside, mightn't always get game time in the league, and it gave Martinez a chance to be impressed, and he surely should of took encouragement from that first 45 minutes, and whilst some people (myself included) may be disappointed that we didn't put a stronger squad out, the flip side is, now we have to excuses, and no hangovers until January now, and with teams like Spurs having trips to ****ty arse Moldova, we can take advantage.
Sadly, we are out, and we mightn't see Stones or whoever now, but we might see Martinez using Deloufeu from the bench more, cause no doubting his talent. Maybe Martinez' tactics were off in the 2nd half, but 5 games in, we've beaten Mourinho (Did we do that with Moyes?), shown our resilience by coming from behind and beating West Ham, and more importantly given Barkley a chance.
We've signed well, were still gelling, but still, come Monday, if we beat Newcastle, who'll remember Fulham?
