How Fickle

I see it so that otherwise the site would be filled both with five live duplicate threads about the same thing as well as the kind of dubious threads like these which are badly titled and also need context.

If they were all on the front page I'd agree but having to search back or face some faux mod "post it here lid" comment is ridiculous imo

robles was a joke, stones needs to grow a pair and gibbo gave bent far to much time on the ball.deulofeu needs to learn to either get shots on target or pass the ball.all these problems will be rectified with games..robles i do not like concedes every time he plays. Now that capital cup is over with we won't be seeing him again this season HOPEFULLY.Roll on monday night when goodison will be rocking..coymt

It's what football fans do. I only listened on the radio tonight so won't pass too much comment, but sounded very Everton in terms of controlling first half and still managing to lose the game. I became a fully fledged fan in 1988 so this is largely the Blues I know and love...one minute want to dance in the street, the next I want to jump off the Top Balcony.

I don't care what thread my comments go in, I am just highlighting the fact that we are as fickle as any other fans. It's like no one as a go at Kenwright when results are going our way but jump on him when they don't. Believe me, I'm no fan of Kenwright but you know what I mean.

Just play your best team. We'll get plenty of injuries/suspensions/poor form to enable everyone in the squad to get plenty of games. 6 days until the next match. Our best team would have won that game.

Woah is me, the bubble has burst!!!!!

Defeat has dented our brilliant start to the season, Martinez out and let's re-build introducing a youth programme that only plays players under 30.

Apparently Moyes has already commented that he left because of results like this.

Or we wake up in the morning and realise that RM had the balls to try something in the Mickey Mouse cup, it didn't work and we still have the real cup (FA) and the premiership.

Onwards and upwards my cup is half full (still) when it comes to Everton......

Alternatively viewed, we played a weakened side against fellow PL opposition; the opposition was piss poor and had nothing at all to offer as a threat; we decided to give them more ball; the manager decided that despite this he'd make no changes to arrest the decline; we end up with a rB playing right wing with our right winger sat on the bench!

So let's not make out that the manager was doing something daring, bold and innovative. Like his predecessor he tinkered. Like his predecessor he was like a rabbit in headlights when we lost control of the game.

this. who ****ing cares if theres a thread elsewhere which highlights a similar issue

No need for the swearing thanks.

As for the knee jerk reactions, yes, I think they do everyone's head in but hey, isn't that the nature of football fans?

We need to appreciate that our first defeat has occurred in late September, in the League Cup. Most of us would have accepted that in July.
