That's debatable. I agree there's no need to rush them though.

They are playing well. Keane is linking up well with Zouma and Davies (given a few errors) is not going missing during games and overall has played well.

Davies is going to make mistakes from time to time. He's about 20 years old. A baby in the game. Every player makes them no matter their experience. He is getting better imo

Not really.

Keane's playing well - very well, in fact.

Davies adds intensity and pressing to the team and Gomes, who I'm very excited about, is not going to bring that to this first PL game, especially after being out injured with a hamstring injury (so really dangerous for high intensity sprints while you're still not at full fitness).

The interesting one could be McCarthy.
Cant play a high line with keane as he is slower than an oap, got caught out against leicester when vardy missed a sitter.
So no, he is doing better than last season but he is not great

They're having a full game behind closed doors this week. They weren't ready for any football at all until this week, mate.
OK, that'll help, but I was thinking about playing competitive football before they get into the firsts. I don't think MS will
put these two and Coleman straight into the Crystal Palace match, at least, I hope not.
Leaving out this current situation, I think players coming back from long term injuries should play in the reserves to get up
to speed. McCarthy may be needed soon, and I wouldn't want him coming straight in. Martinez brought three in who'd been
out for weeks at Anfield iirc, and we got stuffed 4-0.

I don't think thats true. He got done for pace by playing a high line that the manager has instructed him to play. I don't know what you expect him to do in the situation that the ball flies over the top other than what he did when Vardy got through. He kept in touching distance and put him off, causing him to miss the chance. The only other 2 outcomes are he scores because he let him go and didn't put him off or a foul and a red card. He defended well against Leicester and is looking better as the season goes on. I was massively critical of him at the end of last season and the start of this season but he is playing well. And also Vardy is just that quick that he would make most centre backs in this league look slow.

When they have 5 metres headstart?

It was also nowhere near 5 metres at all. If anything they where level but Vardy had a running start.

I take your comments on board.
But keane definately had a headstart of somewhat. Also look at the end of the game vardy tried to get past Zouma but was unable to and Zouma put the ball out for a corner. Point being Mina when fully fit Should theoretically be an improvement over keane, which was what i wish to emphasise forgive the embellishment.

Both played 60 minutes in a behind closed doors game today.

Can’t wait to see Mina banging in a few headers from Sig’s corners and Gomes pinging passes to our Brazilian wonders.

Gomes is effectively a £30m player and if he can rediscover his Valencia form and fall in love with Marco then hopefully he’ll stay beyond this season.
