How did you become an Evertonian?

I am not a typical toffee....in fact I am a Athletic Club Bilbao supporter but I can say that I feel something special for Everton.
About 20 years ago I spent some months in Merseyside, working at Leasowe Castle Hotel to improve my english and most of my workmates were LFC supporters so I thought: ok I will support Everton!!
I know it was just a matter of contradicting them, but ....
In 2012 when Athletic played against Manchester United I also visited Liverpool (good memories:)) and Goodison Park (Everton-Tottenham game).
Welcoming you in our stadium San Mamés would be a dream for me.

its a regret of mine I never got to go to your old stadium. Great club . A one off in fact.

I don't even know, guess I liked the colour blue, the kits and the squad, there is no other explanation really. Whenever someone here asks who am I supporting and when I (proudly) say Everton, I always get weird looks usually followed by: "How on earth did you find them?". There is that ugly stereotype around the world that you can't support teams like Everton if you're not from Liverpool or at least England, but of course you can jump on the bandwagon and support crap teams like Chelsea, Man City, Man United etc. and no one is going to bother you. Smh.

Same pal I'm from New York and get the same weird looks and question.

I can't explain, but I feel a connection with the toffees.

My dad took me to Speke baths, threw me I and said If you ever support the other lot I'll bring you back her and drown you! He had a lot of issues my dad did! Worked though?

My room mate on a moshav (near Ashkelon) was from Walton. I was there from Feb-April 1985 and the team he had me watching/listening to was unbelievably good...and I became a lifelong fan. When back in the UK, I had loads of scouse mates (red and blue)...used to spend every second weekend in Liverpool (for Everton games) and went to almost all their away games. Great memories.

My Uncle took me to a Liverpool game. Didnt like it. Some bloke tried to nick my ticket, (100% true). I would have been 6 or 7.

Dad had taken me to to Goodison a week or so earlier.

End of story.

Born. Passionate Dad and uncles, 7 of them all blues. Think I had relations at the 1906 cup final. Any way who would want to be any thing else?

GOT OUR FIRST TELLY IN 1966 FOR THE W/C. MY MOTHER HAD ALL READY BOUGHT ME A BLUE SHIRT JUST TO PISS MY DAD OFF WHO WAS KOPITE. HE DID ARRANGE FOR ME TO GO TO MY FIRST GAME IN 1972 AGAINST LEICESTER 0-0,WITH ONE OF HIS MATES.AFTER 1975 ME AND A MATE USED TO BUNK THE TRAIN FROM NORTH WALES TO GET TO ABOUT TEN HOME GAMES A SEASON.F.....G GREAT DAYS

1966/67. My mum had eight brothers. Only one of them was a blue. He took me to the Everton game v Blackpool. We got beat 1-0 but I was chosen. Funny enough, my arl fella, who was a RS took me to Analfied the last game of the season trying to change me. Blackpool won 3-1 and got relegated. He begged me after the game to change but that was never going to happen
