Proper wool me, grew up in Shropshire, banished from my dads beloved Wolves as he said I was a curse, they lost whenever he took me. Everyone during this time supported Liverpool, I picked us due to the Charity shield win!

Which charity shield win? If it was 95 then you are definitely a curse.

I don't even know, guess I liked the colour blue, the kits and the squad, there is no other explanation really. Whenever someone here asks who am I supporting and when I (proudly) say Everton, I always get weird looks usually followed by: "How on earth did you find them?". There is that ugly stereotype around the world that you can't support teams like Everton if you're not from Liverpool or at least England, but of course you can jump on the bandwagon and support crap teams like Chelsea, Man City, Man United etc. and no one is going to bother you. Smh.

Grandad a Scouse red, dad and all his brothers wool reds so naturally became a Blue. Plus my first ever match was at Goodison taken by an uncle on my more sensible mums side.

don't know really. all I remember is 1968 cup final and my mate having a blue and white kit for xmas. he said it was evertons kit. moved to hong kong and in school was asked which team did I want to join in 5 a side club so said everton . there were about 8 of us.

As a very young child my Dad used to take me to watch St Helens. He always said he vividly remembered the time i asked him "when are everton coming out to play?". Fair play to him he started to take me to Goodison straight after that and bought two season tickets at the earliest oppurtunity. I asked him years later why Everton? His answer was "buggered if i know, you just were".

Remember listening to us avoid relegation against Coventry last day 1998. Thought the tension was boss back then and got hooked in. What a mistake that was.

Really envious of all you lucky lot that were born into an Blue family.

I found Everton years ago when trying to find a bit of passion in my life.

I Wanted to enjoy football like I had when I was a kid, so I started looking outside of Scottish football.

Settled on Everton almost instantly, just something clicked, you know?

Harry Catterick's 62/63 team did it for me as a fickle 11 year old who'd vaguely flirted with other teams. There were stories about this mystical player " The Golden Vision" , and we were the best team in the land, how could you not support them.
