Hey lids,

So the mrs and I recently became engaged, and basically she isnt the biggest football supporter but my crusade to convert her goes on. Anyways we hoping to be married within the next year and we have decided to go to England for our honeymoon. One of my dreams is to watch my beloved blues go around whilst we are in england but ive heard from some people that most Premier League games sell out like very quickly. Just wondering if thats is true? Also if anyone can tell me some nice places to stay and visit that would much appreciated.

Cheers lids.

England for honeymoon? Go somewhere fun. A week in the Gobi desert would be more interesting.

Thanks for the advice Bundy. Yeah its a weird choice aye, but we have both always wanted to go there...i havent been anywhere overseas yet though the mrs have. So it will be a new and exciting experience for us. Like i said if i get to go to Goodison to see Everton play ill be the happiest man alive.

It's not a bad idea, I'd look into jetting over to the continent whilst you're there - cheap and easy enough to dart around Holland, France & Belgium by train which would be a whole load more romantic & memorable (for her at least) and still have time to grab a couple of matches in England before and afterwards.

Thanks mate, yeah that's something I was thinking about actually, jetting around europe. Do the games sell out very quickly though?

email the box office, they'd probably sort you out and there is a collection point outside the ground so you don't need them send the tickets anywhere etc.

As far as touring the UK goes, it depends what you're into, historic buildings castles, lakes, parks, old world steam trains, ww2 aircaft museums, theme parks, nightclubs, there is a tourism website, Country and Language Selector : VisitEngland

All the best

Thanks lads appreciate the help, sucks that I can't wear my Everton shirt over there. Heard that is asking for trouble...do that rule apply to tourists? Lol. Thanks again lads. You two chico.

You shouldn't get trouble wearing your Everton shirt out and about. The worst I've ever got was wearing my shirt in a pub full of rs to watch one of our matches against them last season. They were giving me some right abuse all through the game as I was the only Evertonian in evidence. But Timmy Cahill equalised right near the end and I (along with everyone in the pub not wearing red) went absolutely mental. Quality, I slipped out the back entrance as soon as the final whistle went

But nah, out and about the worst you'll get is the odd bit of banter (y)
