Li Tie was a tidy passer, great worker, Chinese captain & an ever present back when Moyes was a breath of fresh air & played 3 up top (parallel universe or what!). He then broke his leg & spent a year out but never recovered sufficiently to get back to his efficient best. I quite liked him & he was a lot better than he seems to have been remembered. Shame.

Don't let Damon see you saying that.

Meh, I was only a little kid at the time but I remember him as quite gash.

Thank you BAF.....that's the Li Tie that I remember too. We could do with him now as the closest player we have in terms of being a fairly tidy passer of the ball and a hard worker is probably Osman.

I agree that we do need to find a way to promote revenue, but playing sh*t players just to sell a few shirts in big countries isn't a sensible or good enough way of doing it.

Fair point....but as far as I can see we are playing some fairly sh*t players at the moment and probably not selling any shirts anywhere. For the club that once had the Golden Vision we have fallen so far......

Were we?

I'll go on "kidding myself" in the knowledge that Moyes wanted to get this player and that player but has been unable to. I'll also not go on kidding myself some people aren't actively looking for things to criticise him over.

Barkley is just this week's 4-4-2 which was the week before's substitutions.

Imagine what would happen if Moyes played 4-4-2, with Barkley in the midfield and brought on two strikers to change it up and still lost....

GOT would be in utter meltdown.

Yes, we were. Negative sideways football, and pretty much the same points tally we have now, if not less.

With Pienaar, Yakubu and Arteta, no less.

Yes but also two of those wanting 75k a week too. One of which saw his arse about it for definite.

4th January and FIVE home defeats already.

Lowest Prem gate in history (are people seeing sense at last?).

Made Bolton look like Barca.

Bottom line is: nobody here is actually surprised.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum?

Apathy is destroying Everton and the younger supporters who know no different have got to realise that Everton existed without Moyes.

When they beat us last we made them look like Barca. All sides will put a poor show in from time to time. It isn't the case to scuttle the ship just yet.

I agree fully. He was a really good player. One of the best pure passers I have seen for us. I used to over his slided through balls into Radzinski.

Its so lazy to label Li Tie as a bad player because its just simply not true.
