hoilett

IMO we should match hoilett's wages and hope that a guaranteed starting spot would lure him here. Im not a fan of the way player/agent pressure is controlling business in the football world but it is something we have to accept. The lad would easily get us £20 mill if we decided to sell later on and would be a quality addition whilst on the pitch. this lid impresses me every time. We don't have dough, that is certain, and if people say raising his wages will depend on getting others off the bill, i would like to say that risks separate the best from the rest. I guess that trying to push through a deal would alter our wage structure, but Hoillet would improve our team majorly now and in the future, sometimes these are the gambles we need to take.

I think someone ITK on here said, if they give in to his high wage demands, the big stars of the team will then in turn knock on the managers door and say, If hes getting that i want this then it will mess up the clubs wage structure.

Hoilett is a better player than pienaar to be fair, he'd be better to sign business wise as well, i'd much rather have hoilett than pienaar. [I'll be shot down for this]

yeah i know this of course is the worry, fellaini has just signed a new contract, baines is not the type of player to forcing for money and jelavic has played less than 15 games for us. The only player i would worry about would be heitinga getting disgruntled (with fairly good reason) if we were to give hoilett so much wages.

You're insane. He has pace and is very direct. Pienaar is so much more intelligent and utilises the space he has so much more effectively.

Pienaar is a very good player don't get me wrong, he's been a good player for us in the past, Hoilett is good on the ball, he's fast and direct, maybe not as intelligent as pienaar, no, but he makes up for that with his crossing, and runs, pienaar is 30 now, he maybe has 3 years left at the top of his game, he would be on about 50k a week if he was to sign, maybe less, and then we'd have to shift him when the time comes, for little to no money.

Hoilett is 22, got a very good reputation [as a player] and will only get better with age, if it comes to a point where we are to sell him, we could sell him for around 20m [or around that mark] Yes he would demand higher wages, and yes it would take time for him to bed in with baines [Provided he would be used as a left winger] but it would all be worthwhile, Just my opinion of course.

FIXED.....however the team is massively unbalanced.

id like to see him fill our problem RM position, with pienaar on the left (not having to worry about blending in etc.) Then if donovan comes in the winter, donovan could be slotted in behind the striker in the ACM role.
i think you have to do your utmost when players with this sort of ability/ future potential come on a free. He would be a starter for us IMO if we were to sign him.
