You would rather have Arry " Crook " Redknapp instead???

Listen, how many other English managers have we had recently that has managed clubs abroad and also at International level, i think he is far from a poor manager in my view.

Agreed. Once he gives it up we should go with Steve McClaren. He's got the right credentials.

I think if hodgson had took the job after 94 he would have done well, after the taylor debacle, he's a a little dated now, but still deserves respect in the game in my opinion, the squad he has taken is probably as bold as most other managers would have

......I'd definitely go with Wiltshere as I think he offers more creativity than Henderson. I appreciate we might not want to go gung ho in the first game, but there are 2 aspects of the game - when we've got the ball and when we haven't - and Wiltshere would need to drop in for the latter.
agreed posession would be more important to be than henderson's work rate, as others have said him alongside wilshire isn't the worst idea, if jack realised he isn't messi and concentrated on keeping things ticking over he would be a fine player, seems to want to do too much at times for me

...and getting back on thread, Wiltshere and Barkley appear to be on the same wavelength. Its amazing how some players link and I can see signs of them two being a particular threat in and around the opposition box.

Agree with this. IF Barkley is playing No.10 he would benifit massively by having wilshire playing, who is capable of finding Ross with those little cute balls from deeper in midfield. Henderson doesn't have that in his locker. If Rooney is No.10 then it doesn't matter because he'll never be in the posistion he's supposed to be!

If it were down to me, everyone fit, I'd go...

Gerrard wilshire
Ox Barkley Rooney
Sturridge

Boom!!

So with Danny "kid n play" Welbeck out of the 1st game will Why shuffle the pack to slot Woss in ?????

I agree with some past posts that Roy should play the young team. We have no chance at all of winning the World Cup, so it would make for some very interesting football if the youngsters played.

if he played for the RS im sure he would be creaming about his performances , he goes on and on about sterling , he came on for 10 minutes gotsent off and hodgson criticises barkley. i dont know why he loves the liverpool players so much considering they did fk all for him and got him sacked. can see the midfield being henderson lallana gerrard and sterling, sturidge upfront and johnson right back, fed up of people saying england should play like liverpool, blitz teams for 30 minutes then crumble under the sun. top sides will murder england if we try and play like they did.

they did seem to seek each other out, I noticed that, a bit of faith in each others abilities
