Neville in midfield is like playing with 9 outfield players, he's inert. Offering nothing but 5 yard square balls & finger pointing.

I'd take seeing this fella play there for a month or 2, rather than seeing Captain ********.

Neville has played all his career in the Premier League, been a captain of Everton for a few seasons and therefore can lead a team. His passing is not great his influence on the pitch and the team more than makes up for that. His experience is vital and he can play in numerous positions. I have not greatly followed Hitzlsperger much other than seeing bits of him in the Premier League and i would say his stock is nowhere near as valuable as Phil Neville otherwise he would have been at a top club for much longer. Decent free but i wouldn't want to see him anywhere near the team when Gibson is fit

Barkley needs games. From what I've heard/seen he's not up to it yet. Good to get him out on loan and get some first team experience. We can sit hitzlsperger on the bench for a few months and everyone is a winner. Definitely don't see him as a long term signing.
