Actually thinking about this, he'd be a superb option until the end of the season for me.

He'd need next to no bedding in time at all; he's already played in the Premiership for years and his English is absolutely unbelievable - you'd never even know he wasn't born and raised in English listening to him.

He has a superb left foot and is honest (Moyes' trait), dependable (Moyes' trait), hard-working (Moyes' trait) and above all a good player. For free I can't see why any top half Premiership team aside from the obvious moneybags teams wouldn't go for him.

I hope he joins.

This is why I am suspicious. He has to have some great flaw for no one to have picked him up by now.

Anyone is better than Neville in Midfield.
Hargreaves hasn't been fit in 48 years.
Reo-Coker is definitely better than Neville in Midfield.

What a good point!!!
Talk about over-thinking this player development s**t. Barkley is gonna be class, and putting him in OUR midfield for a month, won't be as much a risk as playing f****ng phil neville there for a month.
Instead, we'll sign a journeyman footballer for about £25k a week, who in 5 or 6 weeks, we wo'nt want or need anymore.
